Renting property
Are you looking for a student room, apartment, family home or commercial property in Leiden?
If so, register with Vijf Sterren Leiden free of charge and we will keep you up to date with the latest available properties.
We do not have waiting lists, so we may be able to help you find your ideal property within a very short space of time.
Registration is free!
In order to be kept up to date of the latest properties available, you should register with Vijf Sterren Leiden.
You can register online or at our office during our office hours, which are Monday to Friday 10am - 5pm. No appointment needed. Alternatively, you can request a copy of our registration form by email.
Property updates
Once you have registered with us, we will keep you informed when new properties which meet your requirements become available. We will contact you via email, by telephone or we can even send you a text message. Our website is also constantly updated. See our properties section of currently available properties.
Viewings
Once registered, you may view any or all of the properties in which you are interested. Al viewings are conducted during times agreed with the landlord, and we conduct most of the viewings ourselves. Although there may be more candidates interested in the property, you will be able to view the property by yourself for 10 to 20 minutes with one of our colleagues.
Once you have viewed a property you must make your decision, be it in the positive or negative, known to us either that same evening or at the very latest the next morning.
Transaction costs
Registration with Vijf Sterren Leiden is free of charge, but if we help you locate a suitable property you will have to pay a fee once the transaction is completed.
Should you find a property by other means you will not be charged any fees by us, but please do let us know that you are no longer looking for a property so we can remove you from our list of candidates.
The transaction costs are 80% (ex VAT) of one months rent excluding any utilities charges. The transaction costs are to be fulfilled within 24 hours
Conditions for registration
In order to be able to register with us, you must be able to produce proof of identity, a recent remuneration counterfoil, a pay slip, and/or a guarantee declaration.
Vijf Sterren Leiden is an agent and is no party in the tenancy agreement between the landlord and tenant.
After a viewing, we ask that you make your decision known to us as soon as possible- the same day or the next morning. This can be done by telephone (outside office hours please leave an answer phone message), coming to our office in person or sending us an email. Should you fail to do so, or not let us know in a timely manner, we reserve the right to give other candidates preferential treatment for other subsequent viewings.
